About us
ABOUT THE 159th GLASGOW SCOUT GROUP...
Established in 1929, the 159th Glasgow Scout Group have been offering exciting new adventures to young people for over 90 years. We are a well supported group with over 100 members split between four different sections: Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. As part of the South Western District within the Clyde Region we often organise larger, joint activities with other groups in Glasgow. Both the young people and leaders enjoy the wide-ranging programme offered every week during term time, but we all know everyone most looks forward to the adventurous day-trips and camps.
GROUP MANAGEMENT
The 159th Glasgow Scout Group is led by the Group Leader Volunteer with the support of the Group Trustee Board. This board is made up of the Group Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer, Section Team Leaders and parent representatives. The board is responsible for the Group finances, insurance, fundraising, public relations etc., and is essential to the success of the Group.
