The "No Limits" Explorer Scouts are the most Senior Section and are for young people aged from 14 until their 18th birthday. Explorers have lots of input to their programme. We have a very active Unit and recent Explorer activities include kayaking, climbing, hiking, a cycling Treasure Hunt and activities with other Units. We also have camps and other activities during the year. In summer 2015, three Explorers represented the Unit at the World Scout Jamboree in Japan, together with some 30,000 young people from all corners of the globe. In July/August last year four Explorers attended the International Jamborette at Blair Atholl. Explorers can also be Young Leaders and several members are presently helping out at Beavers and Cubs both here at the 159th and elsewhere. There are also lots of opportunities to take part in Regional, National and International events with other Explorer Scouts and take part in even more fun and adventure with others of Explorer age.
Explorers meet weekly on Wednesdays, although this tends to drop back to fortnightly when the main school exams are on.
